General Track Rules

1. Initial start will begin at designated point in turn 4. Lead cars will have two (2) tries to begin the race. After the second try if the race is not started, lead cars will be inverted with the second row cars. Any car that brings out the yellow flag on the first lap will go to the back of the pack.
2. Jumping is not allowed. First offense for Jumping - you will get a warning. Second offense - you will go to the back of the pack. Jumping on restarts - you will be moved to the rear.
3. Any car entering the pit or leaving the track under the yellow or red flag will be put in the rear.
4. All cars must take original green flag start to receive any winnings in that race.
5. Any car causing a yellow or red flag incident will restart in the rear of the line-up.
6. All restart line-ups will go back to the last completed green flag lap.
7. Any car bringing out three (3) cautions in one race will be black flagged to the pits for the remainder of that race.
8. No one is allowed on the track except track officials. NO EXCEPTIONS! Anyone caught on the track could result in removal from the pit area.
9. No working on cars on the track, unless done by track official.
10. Official line-up will be posted in the pits. After entering the track, cars will be given one (1) lap in their proper start position.
11. The track officials will rule upon any incident or occurrence not covered by these rules.
12. There is a 30-minute time limit on all features and B-Main's. Clock stops on any red flag.
13. Anyone bringing out an intentional yellow flag will be sent to the pits.
14. Two (2) courtesy laps will be given for a flat on the first lap of feature race only.
15. Car numbers must be at least 18 inches tall and easily seen from the judge's booth on both sides and roof of car.
16. The top 3 cars in any class must go to the Tech area immediately after feature race.
17. Courtesy Rule: Any car from another track with minor rule differences may at Management’s discretion, race on that night but will be notified of any modifications and will have to be legal on the next visit to the track.
18. Anyone changing drivers or cars from Heat race to Feature must start at the rear of the field. If changing drivers or cars, you must notify track official or you will be disqualified. Any Driver changing cars must use a car in that class.
19. Any disorderly conduct from driver or crew member toward any driver or track official will be disqualified for the remainder of that race



Flags

20. Red Flag means all cars must stop immediately. All cars go to the top of the track and stop immediately.
21. Green Flag and lights mean racing.
22. Black Flag means unsafe car conditions, (flats, excessive smoking, loose car parts, etc.) Cars will be warned with the black in case of minor incidents. Rough driving will result sin immediate removal from the track for the remainder of that race. Anyone refusing to leave the track when black flagged will results in suspension of two (2) race nights.
23. Blue-Yellow Flag means that you must move to the outside allowing faster cars to pass. Anyone not abiding by this flag will be subject to the black flag.
24. Yellow Flag means caution, slow down immediately and maintain position.
25. White Flag means that there is one lap remaining in that race. No yellow or red flag will be thrown at this point unless a hazardous condition exists.
26. The flagman and/or the track officials will make all flag decisions.

Protest Rules

27. The track reserves the right to inspect any car at any time. This includes use of P & G gauge.
28. Visual protest must be made within 5 minutes before the feature race.
29. Any protest must be made within 5 minutes after the feature race is completed. The end of protest time will be announced.
30. Only the top ten (10) cars can protest in any feature race. The protest must be made by the owner or driver of the car in cash. Forward protest only.
31. Any car that is protested will be torn down in a designated area. There will be a 2 hr. limit on tear downs.
32. Track will keep $25.00 from top half protest and $50.00 from any complete protest regardless whether the car is legal or illegal.
33. If a driver refuses to tear down or is found illegal, he will lose his winnings, trophy, and points for that night and will be fined $200.00 or suspended for two (2) weeks. Money will be placed in the points fund.
34. If a driver refuses to tear down or is found illegal a second time, he will lose his winnings and trophy for that night and his points for the year. Also, he will be fined $400.00 or suspended for 4 weeks or moved up to the next class.
35. Maximum number of cars that can be protested in one class is three (3).
Protest Fees:
36. Clutch: $150.00 (Clutch Protest in Street Class Only)
37. Top Half: $250.00
38. Complete: $450 (plus $150.00 for the crank)
Protest Definitions:
39. Clutch: You must remove for inspection; clutch, pressure plate and flywheel.
40. Top Half: You must remove for inspection; carburetor, distributor, intake manifold, 1 cyl. head (protester choice) rocker arms, push rods, lifter, 1 exhaust valve, 1 intake valve. Bore, stroke, and piston will be checked also.
41. Complete: Clutch and top half will be included plus removal of 1 piston and rod. Crank shaft will be checked also.

Safety Rules

42. There will be no drinking of alcoholic beverages or use of any controlled substances in the pit area before, during, or after the race program. Anyone deemed under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance, or having either in their possession will be immediately suspended. In the event of a violation of a controlled substance, the proper authorities will be notified. Any vehicles, trailers, or coolers are subject to be searched before entering the pits.
43. Drivers are responsible for their crew.
44. All drivers in all classes must wear a full fire suit and a full crash helmet.
45. All cars must have a window net and at least three (3) bars or mesh wire in front of the driver.
46. All drivers must wear 4 points 3 inch, quick release safety harness securely mounted to the roll cage. Seat belts must be within 2 years of the manufactured date. Racing seat is required. NO

EXCEPTIONS!

47. Speed limit anywhere in the pits is idle speed only!
48. No one is allowed to argue or discuss any item with track officials while a race is in progress.
49. Abusive or improper language by anyone will not be tolerated at Camden Motor Speedway. Any type of physical assault towards anyone may result in fines or barring from the speedway.
50. All bolt on weight must have two (2) bolts and mounted properly.

Street/Hobby Class Rules

You  must claim which option you are running, no combined options allowed, example A, B, or C

Hobby – No Motor Claim

ENGINE
51. All cars must use 2 barrel stock carburetors no more than 500 CFM max 1 11/16 throttle bore maximum. Holly OK.
52. No aluminum heads, or blocks, or exotic material.
53. Any intake
54. Engine set back. No. 1 spark plug hole can be no farther back than center of ball joint.

BODY
55. Any American coupe, sedan with stock production frame minimum 101" wheelbase. Wheel base must remain stock according to year model.
56. All bodies must be stock appearing, no wedge bodies.
57. Stock fire wall or same thickness, stock floor pan or same thickness must extend to front of rear end yoke.
58. Front and rear bumpers in stock position required.
59. Cars must have a MINIMUM 6 point roll cage. 1 1/2 inch minimum diameter pipe, securely welded to frame. Three driver's side door bars REQUIRED. No black or galvanized pipe allowed.
60. FUEL CELL IS MANDATORY. No boat tanks or homemade gas containers allowed. Fuel cell must be contained in reinforced steel container and must be securely mounted.
61. Battery may be relocated but not in driver's compartment and must be securely mounted.
62. After market pedals will be allowed.
63. Rubber or plastic nose allowed.
64. Front and rear end enclosed except where lights go.
65. All cars must weigh in after each heat race and feature race.

SUSPENSION
66. Sliders optional.
67. Racing springs optional. Adjustable spring buckets allowed.
68. One shock per wheel. Racing shocks or aluminum shocks optimal.
69. Right front safety hub is optional.
70. Lowering will be allowed.
71. A-frame must be stock.
72. Front stock must be in stock location/rear shocks may be relocated.

REAR END
73. Rear end may be locked or posi-trac.
74. A 9 inch Ford rear end is permitted.
75. Floaters are permitted.
76. No 3/4 ton truck or quick change.

TRANSMISSION
77. Manual or automatic transmission. No after market transmissions.
78. Triple disc or fluid lock okay.
79. No quick change transmissions.
80. No aluminum flywheels.
81. No aluminum drive shafts.
82. Drive shaft loop required.
83. Drive shaft must be painted WHITE.
84. Safety bell housing or blanket recommended.

WEIGHT
85. Car must weigh 3,200 lbs. with driver after race.

TIRES AND WHEELS
86. Asphalt pull-offs only.
87. 10 inch steel wheels.
88. Grooving and regrooving allowed.
89. Bead locks allowed.
90. 1 inch lug nuts MANDATORY.
91. After the race, tires must durometer 50.


FUEL
92. Racing gas permitted.
93. No nitrous oxide or alcohol.

Option B:        Weight: 3200

1. Engine: Production OEM Blocks only. (no 400 blocks) (no bowtie, svo, etc.) max overbore .065

2. Cylinder Heads: Steel heads only, with stock OEM angles (GM 23 deg, Ford 20 deg, Chry 18 deg) 

3. Camshafts: No roller or mushroom lifter cams.

4. Carburetors: 1- 2 Barrel or 1- 4 Barrel.

    Fuel: Racing gas only.

5. Wheels: 10 inch max width, no aluminum.

6. Tires: 11 inch tire width maximum, Rear Tires: must durometer: 60 minimum. (example D55 MD 56)

Option C:      Weight: 3000     (See Street Stock Specs) (Vacuum 15 inches at 1000 Rpm)

7. Tires: 11 inch maximum width, right rear must durometer: 50 minimum

    E Mod, A 40, H 40, or G 60

8. Crate Engines: 602 ok

STREET STOCK RULES:

MINIMUM WEIGHT: 3000

ENGINE
94. 15 inches of vacuum at 1000 r.p.m. 362 cubic inches max. No stroking or destroking allowed. Stock 5.7 factory production rod. Dished or flat top 2 or 4 valve relief pistons allowed. Pistons must stay flush with or below top of the block. Factory passenger production heads only, no boetie, or aluminum heads allowed. No angle plugs or performance heads. Stock valve stem diameter length. Valve sizes limited to OEM production diameter for head used. No polishing, porting or match porting anywhere, no milling inside chambers, each chamber must have a 55 cc minimum volume. Stock ratio rockers with stock diameter pushrods. 1 ¼ inch adapter plate under carburetor allowed. Stock 2 barrel carburetor for engine claimed. Removal of choke plate allowed. Engine in stock location, engine cannot be set back any further than number 1 plug in line with the ball joints. Headers or manifolds allowed. No 180 degree headers. Must run gasoline. No alcohol. Stock HEI ignition, no mags, super coil, no electric fuel pumps. No roller cams and roller lifters. Balancing of engine is permitted. 3/8 screw in studs or pinned studs allowed, guide plates allowed. One radiator in stock position and no extra storage. GM means - GM part numbers, any cast-iron or cast-aluminum intake 2 or 4 barrel. No tunnel ram or TBI manifolds.  No porting or polishing anywhere. Factory forged cast-iron or steel crankshaft with GM factory casting numbers. No knifing. 50 lb. minimum weight. 500 CFM Holley allowed 1-11/16 throttle bore maximum. No traction control.

SUSPENSION
95. All suspension mounts must be in stock location and in original position.
96. Racing springs and shocks allowed. No Hiem joints allowed on shocks. Adjustable springs spacers allowed. 2 inch max. lowering blocks allowed. No wedge blocks.
97. No adjustable bars. No weight jacks. Added weight must be bolted in with two (2) bolts.

DRIVE TRAIN
98. Min. 10 inch flywheel allowed.
99. Flywheel must weigh a min. of 20 pounds.
100. Drive shaft loop within 6 inches of front U-joint.
101. No button clutches, quarter masters, or performance clutches.
102. Large five lug and 9 in. Ford rear end allowed. Floaters are allowed.
103. Front and rear brakes must work.
104. Stock automatic transmission with working torque converter.
105. Stock manual transmission allowed.
106. No traction control.

CAR
107. Any American made sedan with a stock firewall and floor pan and frame with 101 inches minimum wheelbase.
108. Subframe cars may tie frames together under the car.
109. All cars must have a minimum 6 point roll cage. 3 bars in driver side door and 2 in passenger side.
110. Stock front and rear bumper. Must have a tow hook on the front and rear. Mounting is optional.
111. A 8 inch spoiler will be allowed.
112. Crossbars are allowed under the floor pan. All other bars are optional.
113. Stock steel factory assembly line production body for the make of car in stock location.
114. Plastic nose is permitted. No wedge nose.
115. Fuel cell is required. Must be secured by 1 inch by 3/16 inch steel straps with 3/8 inch bolts or larger. Rear of fuel cell must be at least 12 inches away from rear of car.
116. Battery must be relocated, but not in the driver compartment.
117. 275/60 D.O.T. tires (No modification.), IMCA G 60's mod pull offs, or track tires-asphalt scuffed take-offs. Must punch 50 after race.
118. 7, 8, or 10 inch steel wheels allowed. No wide 5 wheels allowed.
119. Bead locks allowed on right rear only.
120. No side nerf bars allowed.
121. Fiberglass hoods allowed.

STREET STOCK CLASS GENERAL RULES
122. All weights must have two (2) bolts.
123. Track Management has final say in any situation.

PURE STREET

MINIMUM WEIGHT 3200 LBS AFTER RACE
CAR
124. Any American made sedan with a stock firewall and floor pan and frame with 101 inch minimum wheelbase.
125. Sub frame cars may tie frames together under the car. Mount in stock location, any mount.
126. All cars must have a minimum 6 point roll cage. 3 bars in driver side door and 2 in passenger side.
127. Stock front and rear bumper. Must have a tow hook on the front and rear. Mounting is optional.
128. If the car claimed originally came with a spoiler, a stock spoiler will be allowed.
129. Crossbars are allowed under the floorpan. All other bars are optional.
130. Stock steel factory assembly line production body for the make of car in stock location.
131. Plastic nose is permitted. No wedge nose.
132. Fuel cell is required. Must be secured by 1 inch by 3/16 inch steel straps with 3/8 inch bolts or larger. Rear of fuel cell must be at least 12 inches away from rear of car.
133. Battery may be relocated but not in the driver compartment.
134. 8" steel wheels max. 275 - 60 - 15 tires max (no racing tires permitted).
135. Minimal cutting for tire clearance, roll cage and fuel cell, no other cutting allowed.

SUSPENSION
136. All suspension must remain in stock location.
137. Racing springs and shocks allowed.
138. Spring buckets and lowering blocks allowed. No weight jacks.
139. Rear end may be locked or posi-track. A 9 inch Ford rear end is now permitted. After market axles are encouraged.
140. 4 wheel working brakes, no shut off valves and after market components ok. Brake rotors and hats must be steel.
Brake pedal must remain stock and in stock location.
141. No quick steers allowed.
142. Factory disc rear brakes only.

TRANSMISSION
143. Manual or automatic with working torque converter.
144. Minimum 10 inch clutch.
145. Flywheel must be steel and weigh minimum 20 lbs.

ENGINE
146. 360 cubic in. max (may have max .060 overbore). Must pull 19 inches vacuum at 900 RPM.
147. Engine must have factory assembly line production components throughout engine. Mounts in stock position, any mount.
148. Maximum valve size allowed .194 intake, .150 exhaust. No vortec heads.
149. Stock production 2 barrel carb. and stock 2 barrel cast iron intake manifold only.
150. Stock exhaust manifold or headers allowed.
151. Stock ignition.
152. Aluminum radiator okay.
153. Head must have 55 cc minimum volume.
154. Engine set back no further than No. 1 plug in line with ball joint.
155. Factory replacement pistons. No racing pistons.

PURE STREET CLASS GENERAL RULES
156. All weights must have two (2) bolts.
157. ANYTHING NOT SPECIFIED MUST BE STOCK AND IN STOCK LOCATION.

HUMMER CLASS

158. 4 cylinder front wheel drive; no turbo’s, no Honda Corp powered.
159. Cars must have all exterior chrome, glass, and mirrors removed.
160. Must have 4 point roll cage.
161. Must have racing seat belt; racing seat recommended.
162. Tires—D.O.T. sizes—maximum 195 and minimum 70. Example: 195-75 or 175-70 or 165....75.... NO 60's or 50's.
163. No racing tires, no grooving tires.
164. Flat tire during a race, automatically disqualifies car for that event.
165. Fuel tank–Fuel cell or Marine type tank recommended. Must be securely bolted and ....shielded.
166. Doors must be welded shut.
167. No modifications on brakes or suspension.
168. Windshield screen or at least 3 bars are mandatory, both recommended.
169. No modifications to engine of any kind. No headers.
170. Must have tow hooks or chains on front and rear.
171. Master disconnect (kill switch) on battery ground must be within easy reach of driver.
172. Fire extinguisher required. Securely mounted and within easy reach of driver.
173. Wings and spoilers are allowed.
174. Races will start from a rolling start out of turn four.
175. Top three finishers in the feature race must come through tech area.
176. All cars subject to track officials approval.
177. All sun roofs must be filled in.
178. Drivers in these classes can not drive in any other class.

179. UNDER 18 HUMMERS Parent or guardian MUST be present for under 18 to race.
Track Packing
All cars will be required to pack the track. When an official calls your class, this is the time to enter the track surface. Packing will continue until the track is ready. All classes may not be called to pack due to track conditions. However, failure to comply with this request may results in either loss of feature position or loss of points.
We will make every effort to have the track ready to race before you are asked to pack the track. Weather conditions may dictate track packing time.

MINI MODS

1. Any 4 cylinder.

2, Aluminum head ok.

3. Tube chassis is 2200 lbs, non Tube 2000.

4. Wheels 10 inch maximum width.

5. Skirts ok.

6. FWD Front Wheel Drive ok.

7. Fuel is racing gas or alcohol.

8. Suspension racing springs or stock ok.
